Our Decaf Matcha and EGCG Content
Our Decaf Matcha contains a sufficient amount of EGCG, a powerful antioxidant known for its many health benefits. The EGCG levels are carefully analysed in-house by our factory in Japan. While there may be slight variations between batches, we do not list an official value in the product specification.
*EGCG stands for epigallocatechin gallate, which is a type of catechin, a powerful antioxidant found in matcha. We use the supercritical carbon dioxide method for decaffeination, which allows water-soluble compounds such as EGCG and theanine to remain almost completely intact.
